Paul J. Brosnan,
D.M.D.
Dr. Paul J. Brosnan received his Bachelor of Arts from
Columbia University and his dental and orthodontic degrees from Boston
University. He completed a one year residency in general dentistry at Beth
Israel Hospital in Boston following dental school.
While at Boston University he did research on functional orthodontic
appliances and his study was published in the prestigious journal, Angle
Orthodontist.
Dr. Brosnan practiced general dentistry for 4 years prior to his orthodontic
training. He is a former US Air Force officer in the Dental Corps where he
was a consultant in orthodontics to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, US
Naval Hospital at Bethesda as well as a regional consultant in orthodontics
to the USAF Surgeon General.
Dr. Brosnan retired from the USAF Reserve and began his private practice in
Burke in 1990. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists
as well as the Southern and Virginia Associations,the American Dental
Association and Northern Virginia Dental Society.
Dr. Brosnan is active at his local church, is the father of 6 children ( 2
still at home) and has been a volunteer Little League and youth basketball
coach. He enjoys traveling, playing with his grandchildren and, in his
spare time, golf. In addition, he co-holds a collegiate baseball record
with a very famous New York Yankee.
